Chef Andy Borgmeier and the Celebrations Catering & Events team opened their new kitchen for a private interactive cooking challenge almost two years ago. That special event led to a series of cooking classes — all with different themes — and the idea for the Learning Kitchen was born. Here students young and old can learn the joys of cooking through a casual, informative hands-on approach.
Now the Learning Kitchen is it’s sixth session of seasonal classes. Although our classes have grown in popularity, we keep each class limited to twelve students ensuring there is room for everyone to truly participate and interact with the chefs. After donning aprons and selecting the appropriate utensils, it’s time for students to start creating! Later we invite everyone to taste the fruits of their labor and enjoy a glass of wine over good conversation.
Due to the high demand for catered events The Learning Kitchen is currently not available

What are our students saying about the Learning Kitchen?
“I can’t say enough good things about the Cooking Class today!!! Everyone had a wonderful time. The instruction was superb, thanks to your two wonderful Chef Instructors, the food was fabulous, and the luncheon was so beautifully presented. We are thrilled to have all those great recipes!
I have been to many Cooking Schools (for fun and good recipes) including several on the Island—Michael Anthony’s, Robert Irvine, Aqua, Charley’s Crab, and the Chart House, as well as one in Italy and I must say that this was the best today! I will without a doubt make all of these recipes and the instruction was excellent! The girls were surprised also and very pleased that they had something to take home!
Your attention to detail was great, even to Christian escorting us to our cars with an umbrella in the rain! Very impressive! Please convey our heartfelt thanks to all of your staff.”
