Chef Andy Borgmeier and the Celebrations Cathering & Events team opened their new kitchen in the Capital Business Park for a private interactive cooking challenge almost two years ago. That special event led to a series of cooking classes — all with different themes — and the idea for the Learning Kitchen was born. Here students young and old can learn the joys of cooking through a casual, informative hands-on approach.
Now the Learning Kitchen is beginning it’s sixth session of seasonal classes. Although our classes have grown in popularity, we keep each class small so there is room for everyone to truly participate and interact with the chefs. After donning aprons and selecting the appropriate utensils, it’s time for our students to start creating! Later we invite everyone to taste the fruits of their labor and a glass of wine in our gathering room.
Classes fill up quickly.
We encourage you to call as soon as our classes are posted to reserve an apron! 843.689.PLAN (7526).
Currently, our Learning Kitchen is closed for the summer. However we will offer a special preview class in the fall. This special “open house” session will feature a variety of demonstrations and basic instruction. Join us for an evening of fun, featuring samples of the chefs’ delectables and complimentary beer and wine.
You won’t want to miss this pre-season opportunity so watch for the date.
We also plan to have a couple of “celebrety chefs” joining some of our classes this year. Should be s lot of fun
