Learning Kitchen


Chefs Andy and Glen opened their kitchen for a special interactive cooking challenge almost two years ago. From that special event the idea for the Learning Kitchen was born.

Now the Learning Kitchen is into it’s fifth session of seasonal classes. Although our classes have grown in popularity, we keep each class small, so there is room for everyone to get a specialty drink, don an apron, grab a knife and start cooking! After a little “work” everyone gets to taste the fruits of their labor in our gathering room!

FEBRUARY CLASSES

Mardi Gras

  • Wednesday, February 10th @ 5:30 PM | Cost: $65

As they say in New Orleans, “Laissez le bon temps rouler” or “let the good times roll”. Featuring a blend of Cajun and Creole, join Chef Andy and Glen to make a Mardi Gras feast! Is there a difference in Cajun or Creole cooking? According to famous Chef and Resauranteur, Paul Prudhomme, Cajun is country cooking while Creole is more elegant and sophisticated – let’s find out!

MARCH CLASSES

Back to Basics

  • Tuesday, March 9th @ 5:30 PM | Cost: $55

Even the experienced Chef needs to take an occasional trip back to revisit the culinary basics. Starting with a basic rule that the most dangerous item in a kitchen is a dull knife, Andy and Glen invite you to bring all your knives to be sharpened. Then they will guide you through a knife skills lesson leading into preparation of seasonal soups and stocks.

Italy – North versus South

Chef Glen’s Italian Classes have become a repeat request from our students. This time Glen and Andy will take sides and put the Italian, “Boot” to the test. Join the fun as Northern Italy and Southern Italy compete for the title of “Real” Italian Cuisine.
