I just wanted to thank the entire staff who contributed to the Hamlin/Matoon Wedding on January 3, 2009. My husband, Eric, who is from Hilton Head Island, but is currently stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. I am from Virginia and was shuffling back and forth between coasts as he prepared for a tour in Iraq. We planned the wedding in less than three months and because of time constraints and Eric’s training schedule, we had to plan the wedding sight unseen.
Ms. Manwell was incredibly professional and very accommodating of our cross-country planning. She was also gracious enough to arrange for a military discount. This was a hard time for us financially and emotionally. The discount helped our budget and was a kind gesture for which we are grateful.
Being an event coordinator myself, the experience was surreal; I kept forgetting I was the bride! Being able to rely on the staff at Celebration Events was incredibly helpful and enabled us to enjoy our family and friends. Mr. Christian Fee and his team were able to run the event seamlessly.
Our wedding also served as a time for family and friends to spend time with Eric before he deployed to Iraq. It was the best day of our lives. We attribute that to a combination of great people, excellent food, a breathtaking view and the exceptional staff. As Eric and I remain apart for the next few months, we will continue to refer back to the day to bring us happiness. We will be eternally grateful for the role Celebration Catering played in a very important day in our lives.”
