Meet Our Team...
Molly Kennedy was born and raised in Orchard Park, New York and graduated from Paul Smith College with a degree is Hospitality Management. Molly started her career working for Celebrity Chef Jimmy Schmidt at the renowned Rattlesnake Club in Detroit Michigan and spent 8 years opening restaurants for Jimmy in Michigan and Colorado. She moved to Hilton Head Island in October of 1996 and started ‘Catering Concepts’ in Palmetto Dunes as Director of Catering along with executive Chef Andy Borgmeier. On August 1st, 2002 she joined the Lowrey Group as Director of Catering & Events and helped jump start their catering division, ‘Celebrations Catering & Events’. In 2004, Celebrations merged with Catering Concepts and Molly was reunited with Executive Chef Andy Borgmeier and team. Celebrations Catering & Events is well known and respected as the largest catering and event planning company in the Low Country. For the past eight years Celebrations has been recognized by The Knot in their “Best of weddings” category and in 2013 was inducted into The Knot’s “Hall of Fame”, an honor less than 2% of the Knot’s recognized vendors receive. Outside of Molly’s love for her family, her job, and The Buffalo Bill’s, her life’s love and focus is her son Torin! He is a blessing that she holds close to her heart and thanks God for every day!
Jackie Brino started working with the Celebrations team in March of 2012 as a day-of event coordinator. Though she began just as a favor to her friend, and Director of Catering and Events, Molly, the Celebrations team quickly noticed that she was a natural in the fast-paced, demanding events environment. With a background in banking, Jackie never thought she’d find herself planning weddings, but her quick and detail-oriented pace coupled with her calm temperament made her a dream addition to the Celebrations team.
Jackie is now a full time catering and events specialist. Her favorite part of planning is bringing the vision of her Brides and Grooms to life and of course organizing all the details from start to finish. It’s all about the detail for her!
Jackie was born and raised in North New Jersey (Passaic County) and has been a full time resident of Hilton Head with her husband Tom, son Christopher, and dog Bebe for eight years. When she’s not planning the perfect wedding or event, Jackie is usually cooking, which is passion of hers along with spending time with family and friends.
Executive Chef Andy Borgmeier trained and graduated from Johnson & Wales in
Providence, Rhode Island. With a desire to return to the Low Country, Andy moved to Hilton Head Island to be the Chef Tournant at the Hyatt Regency, training under Executive Chef Felenczak. Here Andy worked as Chef de Garde Manger, learning the skill of Ice Carving and later as Banquet Chef where he served groups up to 1500 guests and had the opportunity to cook for President Bill Clinton under the watchful eyes of the Secret Service.
In order to pursue his love of catering Andy seized an opportunity to become the Executive Chef for Catering Concepts known today as Celebrations Catering & Events. During his Sixteen year plus tenure at Celebrations Catering Andy has developed a State of the Art Show Kitchen, has become the only catering chef on the island accredited by the Sustainable Seafood Initiative and began conducting the island’s first series of hands-on, interactive cooking classes at his Learning Kitchen.
